My 11 mo. old has a fever and has been vomitting. I am trying to decide if I need to take him in. I should call by 3 (in an hour0 if I want him seen today.

9 am: threw up at daycare.
9:30 threw up in the car on way home from daycare.
10: nurse, go down for nap.
noon: wake up, slightly wet diaper
12:30: threw up
1:00 gave sips of water. Very lethargic. threw up the water.
1:30: nursed. immeadiately threw up.
2:00: diaper is maybe slightly wet.

So... WWYD? He has an armpit fever of 100.2 right now. But I think he would barf up tylenol. He is 11 months, btw.

It sounds like the stomach bug my whole family just got over. I'd give him a day or two and just keep nursing. If he's dehydrated you could bring him in but there's probably nothing they can do.

Personally, I'd go to the doctor only because of the slightly wet dipes and the times he's vomited. Hope he feels better.

I wouldnt do tylenol, theres really nothing for it to do in this situation. I would keep a very close eye on baby and if I thought they were getting dehydrated, take them in. I would try first just nurse nurse nurse, in small amounts at a time

OK, he has kept bmilk and cheerios down since 2 pm, so 4 hours now, so I think he is doing better. He has also had 2 nicely wet diapers. Thanks for the advice mamas.

Great news! After dd's first stomach bug (which I successfully nursed her though despite horrible advice from the on-call nurse at the hospital) I kept tylenol suppositories on hand (actually in the fridge). It just made me feel better!

So glad to hear your little one is on the mend.
