For most of my pregnancy, my babe's heart rate has been in the 150s. The last few weeks, every time I've listened, it was in the 120s - which had me concerned, since that's on the low end of normal, and unusual for my baby. Today I checked while she was a bit more active, and it was just over 140. How much of a variation is "normal"? Does a baby's heart rate slow a bit later in pregnancy? (I'm 32 weeks.) Or did I just happen to check in while she was in particularly restful states?

My gut says everything's fine, but I'd appreciate any thoughts!

IMO, there is no reason for concern, unless your gut says otherwise.

With my DD, her heartrate was 150's-160's early on, then 140's around 25-34 weeks, and after 34 weeks, it was 120-130.

Baby's heartrates are supposed to vary, especially when active.

Even in labor, DD's heartrate was anywhere from 110-170. even the high-intervention hospital i was at was not concerned.

Sounds like a healthy babe to me!

babies vary greatly in fhr, so there is no need for alarm. For example I had a NST yesterday and my girls varied from 120 to 170. Variation is normal and healthy.

Her movement's fine - frequent and vigorous.
