Keeping this on-topic.
We all need a break from the hectic life of parenting, and one of my favorite escapes is to dig into a good book. It's an added bonus to come across something queer-friendly, and seems to recharge me even more.

Have you read any books featuring gay parents? (fiction or non fiction)

What about books featuring other gay characters?

What are your favorites, least faves, etc?

I recently borrowed Lucky in the Corner (can't remember the author) from the library and really enojyed it. A lesbian mother and cross-dressing uncle were main characters in the book. It was a fun novel, definitely worth reading.

Right now I'm reading a non-fiction book called Out in the World: Gay Life from Baghdad to Bangladesh (or something really close to that). It's not written by a sociologist/anthropologist, but it seems like it could fall into that category. But the author is an excellent storyteller and it is a really easy and interesting read, not dry at all.

Anyone else have any recommendations and reviews?
