I don't know about all the rest of you mammas who have finals coming up, but I'm soooo stressed! My house is a wreck, my kid needs a bath, I'm sleep deprived- hoping to make at least a B, dinner lately has been only one-pot-wonders, my hair is a mess, and I probably smell, but hey, this is the typical week of finals for this student mom.

Who's also stressed?
Anyone want to vent with me?

We still have four days of class next week before finals. I'm already at the end of the semester freak out stage though. So much i need to do, never enough time. Papers and Projects and Exams that the teachers all like to squeeze in at the same time as Finals. Agh.
Our house is a mess too, and dinner has come from a box most nights this week- Oh well. We will survive i guess

I'm guessing that i will be doing a lot of this

in the next two weeks, then

Finals for me start Monday and I'm 35 weeks pregnant! Luckily the classes aren't THAT stressful, but still... It's finals!

Yeah... definately at the books and the house has taken a beating. But I figure after next week I'll get it all in shape again, or else make DH do it.

I only have one final, in Arabic... which will be tough but my grade in the class doesn't count (it's an undergrad class and I'm a grad student). All I need to do is do well enough to move on to the next level, and I think I can do that. I'm still stressing about it, though... final is next Friday, and next Tuesday I have to give a 5 minute oral presentation... in Arabic.

My big stress is papers... I was up until 4 am Friday night finishing a paper on Tunisian fertility transition, which was almost 30 pages if you include refrences. I have one more paper to finish, which will be about the same length - due next Friday. So, those three things, and then I am freeeeeee!

My house is a total wreck, too. I hate it being this way, but I can't deal with it right now. One more week...

I am counting down to Dec 15th, my one and only final. (well I already took one final because the class was 10 weeks). Monday is my last day of school.

The final decides if I graduate. I need a 70 to pass which should be a reasonable grade. I am having a hard time getting motivated to study. I just want to be done! I have a test map. I have been cleaning lately because I would rather clean than study. In fact I think I am finding every project other than studying to work on.

Any ideas on planning how to study?

I am so glad I stopped here! I have one huge paper/power point presentation to present the paper tomorrow. I am just bracing myself for FOCUSING tonight. As with every other paper, I have planned and prepared for myself to finish these things in good time and then... the all-nighter the night before its due happens. Urg! I'm counting down the minutes until my kids go to bed because I can't focus on much else while they are all awake. Good Luck everyone!!! I can't WAIT until its all over and I can reclaim my home!

I am so with you mama's! The last 2 weeks of school are the worst! I was up until 5am writing my final for my human relations class which is due tonight at midnight. Went to bed at 5am thinking I had 1 page left to write which was no real biggie and my brain was fried at that point. I just did all the formatting and stuff and discovered I have almost 2.5 pages to write still and its due in umm.. 2.5 hours and the baby is waking up to nurse every 30 minutes and if I dare get her out of bed to nurse she'll wake up and be up all night
Next week will be even more fun with 6 papers due and what ever else insanity the teachers want to spring on us... I'm just praying I pass. We had a really bad couple of weeks and my A's turned into C's and D's becasue the kids were sick. Trying to pull them up to at least C's to pass. Well mama's, my tea is ready, back to the grind!

Good luck everyone!

I finished the paper literally 2 minutes to the deadline! Anyway, got an email tonight from one of the teachers whose class I had an A in until the kids got sick. She's giving everyone a chance to make up 1 major zero, missing paper or quiz. I emailed her back and asked if the movie presentation report I missed counted (its worth 1 full letter grade) and she said yes! So I can meet with her on Thursday to give my presentation (which I still have to do!) when were in town for appts at the children's hospital. If I can get the max points she's allowing for make ups (70% of the original) and I do the extra credit assignment and do well on everything else (all my scores in her class have been near perfect) I will not only pass with a C that I can live with even if I don't like it but I have a chance at getting a B!
(I'll get an F if I skip both point chances)

oh boy, i'm right there with all you ladies... i'm about 7 weeks pregnant and had one final today and eight more spread out over this week. i keep thinking too that this has to be easier than actually having the babe on the outside needing things from me but right now between falling asleep every other hour, trying to pacify my incredibly moody stomach so that i CAN study, and making an attempt to force my brain to think about something other than being pregnant (it's my first
i've got all i can handle. i just want to pass, don't need excellent grades or anything, just to do *fine* and then enjoy the break... good luck to everyone!
