it took months, but i finally managed to get this bag knit up and felted. you ladies understand just how hard it is to knit anything with little guys around, so i'm sharing my success with you as proof that IT CAN BE DONE!

bag before felting

bag after felting

the NaStasha Bag pattern, although i don't recommend it. it was vague and incomplete. it really made me appreciate well-written patterns... like our own LTK!

speaking of... back to those christmas mocs!

enjoy and keep knitting, sisters...

It looks fabulous, but did you REALLY think you'd get away with not telling us what kind of yarn you used? HMMMM?

whoops! i meant to... it was malabrigo merino in mango, terra cotta, and vermillion... i had to use two strands throughout, so it's mixed a lot. it was so soft and yummy to knit with, and it felted to a rich and warm fabric.

and the novelty yarn mixed in was plymouth salsa, something she'd pointed out to me when we were in a yarn shop together, mentioning that she was working on a quilted jacket in those colors. so now she'll have a bag to go with her new jacket!

thanks... i'm still picking it up and staring at it in disbelief!
