Well, finally. After losing two weeks of scheduling possibilities due to bad info from my OB's office, I finally got to schedule an appointment, and the first one they had was 3.5 weeks out...on November 30. I tried to get in earlier and told everybody all about my history of birth defect with baby #1, but nothing worked. So I spent all that time waiting and worrying yet trying NOT to worry. Sigh. Then when I got the u/s yesterday, the tech was upset when I told her about my scheduling problems and said someone (anyone) should have called the u/s supervisor and I would have gotten in earlier. She also said nobody marked my paperwork with a prior history of birth defect.

Sorry about the rant. I think the waiting and wondering affected me more than I realized. I've been weepy for the past week and I'm STILL weepy, and I cried during the u/s yesterday even though everything looks fine. I just really wish I could have had this taken care of five weeks ago and not had to squish my feelings to take care of business. And DH is out of town until Friday and couldn't be at the u/s yesterday, and today DS got bitten by a cat, so I'm just a big pile of mommy mush right now.

Thanks for listening. And to reiterate, the u/s was fine. We got pictures of feet and fingers. Adorable!

Glad your u/s finally happened and that everything looks ok.

Sending big hugs your way. These pregnancy hormones can make everything ten times worse!

That's great news! I'm sorry you had to go through so much drama to get it, though. Hopefully now you can have a good cry for a day or two and start to feel better about it all.

Glad it went well for you!

I cried (bawled) all through mine too. This pregnancy is coming off a birth loss (stillborn) and I am so paranoid about everything.

Glad everything looked okay. That is so frustrating to be put off that long. I say let yourself cry for a bit. Get all that emotion/stress out!
