So two weeks ago I met with a midwife at a local birthing center. Due to cost as well as personality/style issues I decided not to use her. Home birth with a midwife would still be extremely expensive and while I'd like to have a midwife deliver my baby we just can't go in to debt to achieve that. So, after some research I found an OB my insurance covers who 1. Was rec'd by the midwife I saw as being very pro-natural birth even when she has to transfer women to him from her center 2.Was rec'd by some other natural birthing mamas and 3. Delivers at the most natural birth and patient friendly hospital in our area.
Anyway, I have my first appointment next week and I'm nervous. I just want a doctor who says "Well, you've done this before, I'm sure you'll do fine again" instead of freaking out about EVERYTHING.

I'm still hunting for a provider. being a VBA2c, even with a "proven scar" is proving to be quite a hurdle. I just wish the hospital that's known to have good vbac success rates was in network.
