One of my twins has a fine red rash on his cheeks and a bit on his chest. He has always been a bit more gassy than the other baby (they are fraternal). Now I'm wondering if he is allergic to something I'm eating?

Could it be peanut butter? I just read something about no PB while nursing.

As far as eliminating dairy, I haven't tried that yet because they were still getting a teeny tiny bit of formula supplement (like 6 ounces for the whole week).

If I still need to supplement a bit should I switch to a soy formula and then cut out my own dairy intake?

They are 6 weeks old right? It was right about that time that Riley started showing signs of a dairy intolerance. She also had horrible colic, but her other signs were a fine red rash, (this was after the newborn rash had gone away), wheezing at night, farting like a trucker, and her poos got progressively greener and mucousy. If you can, can you put the gassy baby on your BM only? You could try soy formula, but quite a few dairy intolerant babies are also soy intolerant. It sounds like your other boy is doing okay with the dairy - I would try going to BM only for the gassy baby and cutting dairy out of your diet. It's in a TON of stuff so you have to be pretty vigilant at first. I just did another post with a ton of foods that are dairy/soy/egg free that are pretty mainstream fast foods to make.

PM me if you need more info!

They are 7 weeks tomorrow.

And yes, he gets the green slime poops on occasion. Both babies have a bit of the acne pimples on their face. But Wesley has a rash!

No more icecream for me.
