I am 13 1/2 weeks pp and still don't have AF yet...we really want to start ttc again, but it's really hard to do when you don't know if OR when you ovulate and not getting a period. When did everyone else get their first pp AF after a full term stillbirth?

I lost my daughter at 33 weeks -- not quite full term but very close. My cycle returned at 6 weeks and has been fairly regular ever since which is very strange for me because it never has been so regular in my entire life. I think it is very individual for everyone and also for each pregnancy. Have you charted any of your fertility signs?

Thank you for your replies..... I still have no sign of AF. My doctor did progesterone and hcg beta tests on thursday so my results will be back tomorrow.....hopefully good news! With dd#1 I got AF back at 6 weeks pp, and dd#2 I went on the depo provera needle...so never got a period at all.

At 8 weeks I was still bleeding & it was driving me crazy. I decided to go on B/C Pills since it was advised I not get pregnant again for 6 months. But that was me. Everyone is very different when it comes to getting their cycle back after a stillbirth. Our bodies know we had a baby, it doesn't know that our babied died. For me, my body was really screwed up. Again, that was me. I am sure others will post their into to help you too.

Oh I hope for you that you will soon hear a GOOD report!

My sweet full term still baby was born on Sept 27, 2004...i was still having some occasional spotting/lochia at FOUR WEEKS pp when I got my first period. That added SUCH insult to injury. However, in spite of that, we have still yet to conceive, now, nearly two years later.

It was 4 months before I got PPAF, but even at a year out, my ovulation is still weak and my luteal phase is really short--problems I didn't have pre-birth.
