On the assumption that there's never TMI on this board, I thought I'd ask a few questions. My dd is almost 11 months, and bf'ing all night long. We're trying to catch the first pp egg.

A days ago, I had ewcm, but only for 1 day. The following day, my cm was lotiony. Is it possible that I o'd? Or is this maybe just an attempt? I never charted before, so I don't know what's "normal" for me. My temps are out to lunch, so they're no help at all.

Can any of you ttc goddesses help me?

FWIW, my experience is that I had patches of EWCM on and off for a day or two or sometimes more on and off for a few months before my first ppaf. I was temping quite sporadically during this time.

Then it happened again, but it was much much more in quantity and quality. I had nipple pain for a couple of days before and after, and my temps went up. I was also more hormonal in general and I just had a feeling that things were happening, hard to explain. I know I o'ed but unfortunately my ppaf showed up afterward.

Of course it's possible that you could have o'ed; any increase in fertile quality cm is considered potentially fertile. But it may just be that you're gearing up to o and haven't quite yet. If you did, you should have some temp changes, but supposedly night nursing a lot could give you a wacky temp chart. Checking out some of the charts under the "post your chart" sticky really helped me figure things out better, though I'm still learning.

Hi Shannon, I actually just ended up catching *my* first ovulation! I wasn't checking CM, but I noticed that my nipples were very sore during latch-on, and I happened to have a friend who had some extra O predictor tests, so I was able to confirm that I was ovulating.

I guess this isn't much help, but I'll be thinking of you!

Thanks, Kathy! I did notice some soreness last month, so maybe that was my "trial run," and this month I actually O'd. I'm keeping my fingers crossed...I love being pg!
