There was a tiny trace of blood in my urine but I have no other symptoms of a bladder infection but to be on the safe side I'm drinking more water and some cranberry juice. I've never had a UTI or anything before but I hear they're not fun at all.
My diet seems to be good. I'm trying hard to really get everything I need. I didn't do this with my first pregnancy and I think I would have felt a lot better once I got bigger and further along if I'd eaten some vegetables or something along with all the applesauce and potatoes.
We heard the heartbeat! She had to really search around but she was determined not to let me leave without hearing it. The placenta kept hiding the baby and was SO loud. We finally found the little stinker though. 168 bpm.
I had so much FUN. My last pregnancy was with an OB, very full of interventions and not personal. So this time around I'm not nervous before each appointment and I feel a bit sad when it's done, lol. I just want to hang out at my midwife's house all day!
I've been a little worried over whether or not I'd find hearing the heartbeat exciting or not. I think since this is the 2nd time around for us, the appeal of teeny socks and every detail isn't "new" so I was afraid I wouldn't be as emotional about this baby. I was wrong though. I couldn't stop grinning.
