Hi Ladies,
Are you showing already? I am 7.5 weeks and already up two sizes in pants. I have only gained 3 lbs but my boobs and butt are huge and I have a very puffy tummy. Anyone else out there? I thought we wouldn't show until 5 months!

I guess it is different for everyone
So far I find everything very fascinating - it is my first as well. Due to m/s I have lost a couple pounds and I have always been skinny. There is a little pooch, but not were my uterus is, besides that my hips are slimmer and my breasts bigger, so I only needed to sort out some of my tops as unwearable.

There are more people posting in the "are you wearing maternity clothes yet" thread, some firsttimers as well, I believe

I believe you should wear what makes you feel comfortable. A dress might solve your problem for now - and spring is on it's way *yeah*.

I'm for sure not "showing" but I've been in maternity pants for 2 or 3 weeks now and I've gone from a 36C to a 40DD already!!!
:

Honestly, if my boobs get any bigger I don't know what I'm gonna do. I'm 32 and I've gained and lost a ton of weight in my lifetime; if I don't have a bra on right now they hang like 2/3 of the way to my waist.

I'm not showing, but I've gained 5 pounds and I'm pretty sure it's all in my boobs. I look like one of those Playboy cartoons from the 60s with the giant bazongas.

That said, I have been gravitating to my Yoga stretch pants more often than not, only wearing my jeans or "outside, grownup" pants when it's an absolute must.

I'm not really showing yet. I'm 9w4d along. I've actually lost about 15 pounds, but I can tell my abdomen (under belly button) is definitely more firm than normal so I know somethin' is goin' on in there! LOL

Pulling up this old thread - are you showing yet? Most people can't tell, but I can! I still don't need maternity cloths, but my belly is a bit more filled (and my boobs are even bigger than before).

And my husband points out, that I smell more and more like a woman or mother and less like a girl.

I have a bit of a "fat" belly up higher than my uterus is right now...but I think that is normal? Anyone? I am finding some pants uncomfortable now, but mostly wearing the same old clothes as before. What about other first timers?

Me too
From what I read our intestines are pushed higher up while the uterus expands. One of the books I was reading had some cool diagrams of how organs move around during pregnancy.

I am 13w3d and I am not really 'showing' yet. I am thicker around my middle and pants are getting uncomfortably tight. *I* can see the small baby bump, but you can't tell when clothed. I'm thinking within a couple of weeks I'll start showing a little more obviously.

Being fluffy to start with, and carrying most of my fluff in my belly, I have to pull all my belly fat up my ribcage to see a bump. But it's for sure there! I wouldn't say I'm "showing" though, given all that I have to go through to uncover the bump for myself.

My belly is for sure bigger, although I haven't measured in a while. When I read this post and started looking at my belly, I hopped on the scale, thinking that I miust have finally started putting on weight; my belly seems HUGE to me. But nope, still down 1 lb. from pre-pregnancy.

Weird.

I am 12 weeks, and haven't gained much weight yet, but I only have one pair of jeans that I can still button, but only sometimes. I've been using a bella band with all my work pants for weeks now. I think I have a little belly, but it'll be a while before people can tell I think.

It's fun to watch my body change, but I'm totally not ready for maternity clothes yet!

I believe it was this one: http://www.amazon.com/Birth-Partner-...=32HD8FUQYCYGO

I am not 100% sure - I got about 20 pregnancy books from the library and had to return most of them last weekend. Can you tell I am a book worm and information geek ?

There is also a third edition, by my library didn't have it. I really liked the book as a good overview over things going on especially before and during labor (how long do things take, what happens when, what might the husband feel, etc). My husband liked it as well, mainly because there is less to read - I likes to be informed, so I read a lot to him, but he is a very slow reader; if those books would be on tape, he'd be all over them.

It does not contain inspiring birthing stories, there are other great books out there for that reason.

i can confirm that there is in fact, a diagram in the 3rd edition of the birth partner that shows how organs move during pregnancy. i was shocked to see that when the baby gets to be bigger, the stomach is up around breast level!
that is a great book for so many reasons.

i too, have been 'showing' for several weeks (i'm currently at 15 weeks) and none of my pants or skirts fit. i gained about 5 pounds and it all seems to be breasts and belly (there's a little tire there now where there used to be abs). i am starting to feel something harder, down between belly button and pubic bone. i think that's my uterus, if i'm not mistaken?
