Well tonight was the first time I pinned my prefolds. I am opening up a CD store and I will be selling diaper pins, so I thought I should try them out myself. I must say that I definetly prefer Snappis. My son is 10 mo. old and does not like to sit still while he is getting his diaper changed, he loves to twist and move up and down the changing table.. CRAZY!!!! I felt like I was going to stick him! I had to undo the pins a couple of times because I couldn't get it snug enough. It was a pain to undo them and do it over again. And my sons patience was growing thin....vey thin.

Anyhoo...I got it worked out. I will continue to use pins this week just so I can get better at it. Hopefully my customers won't ask my opinions on pins!

So for all you moms who love pinning....you must be crazy in the head! :LOL No, just joking... You are either very talented , or have babies who lie still.

I must admit he did look pretty cute with a pinned diaper. But I think I will stick to my snappi!

I love love my pins. But DS is so wiggly and getting him to sit still long enough is becoming more and more difficult. So I've surrendered to the snappy. I am actually starting to like it. Granted it's not as cute and pins but it's SOOOOO much faster.

I love pinning and have pinned all through both kids, so like for 5 years!! I think the trick is starting when they are newborn (and still). By the time they are 10 months and wiggly, your so used to pinning and its no big deal. I've never stuck either of them!

The snappi puts holes in my diapers so I guess that why I tend to stay away from them.

I began CD my 5 month old last month and I ordered pins and snappis.
At first I just could get the diaper snug enough with pinsand used snappis for the first week.
I noticed though that my baby's waist was getting red marks from being too squeezed by the snappi over the diaper, so I decided to learn once for all how to pin.
It took one afternoon, but now I LOVE my pins. You get a perfect fit with them, and they are a must for chubby babies!!!
I know what you are doing wrongbut can't ecplain how you should do it - you need to try until you get it...

i have been pinning and doing an ok job at it...we are moving to an entirely new diapering system which includes prefolds, so i take the prefold, fold it in thirds while leaving the back open, fold the excess in the front, pull it up snug, and take each side and pin it to the front. its been holding just fine.
i am waiting for a snappi to try.

I pins too. I switched over from the snappi and much prefer pins. My son is 9 mos so I hear all of ya on the wriggle factor :LOL. One thing that helps is to keep the pins stuck all the way in a bar of Ivory soap. It makes them glide on so easily. There's no comparison between an unsoaped pin and a soaped pin. I seeing my little guy in a ubcpf and pins .
