How we doing mamas?

I managed to get in a yoga class (woo-hoo!), three evening dog walks, and two twenty-minute stints on the elliptical machine...feeling MUCH better about my body and myself. My goal is to repeat all of that this week, and maybe do an extra twenty minutes on the elliptical.

Now that it's not 185 degrees outside, I'm also going to try to walk more, maybe even on my lunch break at work.

What are y'all up to???

Ellie, two 45 minute walks is great!! (That's a lot more than what I was doing up until a week or two ago). Go mama!!

I wish I could do longer, faster walks but DH likes to "stroll" when we walk our doggies in the evening...so, it's not great exercise, but at least it gets me moving and breathing some (relatively) fresh air.

I'll just come back and edit with updates as I have them, that way this thread won't get crazy long and I will see progress or lack thereof easier.

Monday 8/7- 20 minutes on the eliptical cross trainer, got 1 1/2 miles in
inner and outer thigh machine, hamstring and quads.

Tuesday 8/8- no gym, but I ran around the house for 1 1/2 hours cleaning like a crazy person and sweeping and making beds for a house showing, so I'm definitely counting it as some form of exercise, even if it isn't conventional.

Wednesday 8/9- went to the Y and did 30 minutes of cardio and then hamstrings, quads, inner and outer thigh. I stretched really well too.

Thursday 8/10- Went to the Y and did 30 minutes of cardio and stretch...I then went to my mother's and trimmed her hedges which was a total arm workout!

I second that 2 45 minute walks is great! I felt like I did crappy last week though! I guess I did OK but I only walked on the treadmil twice and I wanted to do it 3 times. I also didn't eat as well as I wanted. I walked on the treadmil this morning and am off to a better start food wise. I plan to walk 2-3 more times maybe for a little longer and to TRULY cut back on sugar!!

Good luck to everyone this week!

I lucked out in getting a hotel close to the art show I did last weekend, so I had to walk back and forth from there several times during the day, each time a 15 minute walk, so a couple of hours of walking over a 3 day weekend, and swimming with my ds in the pool at the hotel (which really involved 'rescuing' him from every one of 200 cannonballs) This week I did a lot of walking, as I didn't have a car and had to rely on public transportation and that meant waling between lines and stops...and I did walk a lot at the art show this weekend, as well. This week I'm going to try and go to a yoga class also.

We went for a bike ride (probably the last one for awhile) and took a couple of long walks. I bought a birth ball and have been practicing squatting and trying to remember to do my kegels. Now I just need to find a good yoga class and stick to it!

I, too, was kinda crazy with the cleaning last week! Maybe it's early nesting or something, but I hauled out all kinds of things for the kids' room, repainted a bookcase with DS, organized all the toys (taking out all the baby toys to box up for later, despite many protests from 2-y.o. that "those are MINE toys!"), so I think that qualifies as exercise. I hope so, 'cause otherwise I was a couch spud! (I couldn't believe how the cleaning wore me out!)

This week I'm off to a better start, so far two times on the stationary bike for 30 minutes with arm weights too. My goal for the week is to ride at least twice more before Sunday and walk with my son to the playground (only 8 blocks round trip) twice.

: I love hearing the variety of activities that everyone does!

So far this week I've done my yoga class (yay! I love my teacher!!!), two dog walks, and once on the elliptical machine. Oh, I also started taking a multi-vitamin again...I didn't for the last couple of weeks because the special pre-natal ones (with the iron) were, uh, stopping things up, if you know what I mean.

Way to go, ladies!

OMG! I made it to the Y! It has been 17 weeks since I have seen the inside of my gym. (I have been walking outside, lest you all think I am that terribly lazy...)
I did 30 minutes on the elliptical and it felt GOOD! I am signing up for a prenatal water aerobics class too.
Back on track...
