It looks to me like they're going after a share of the Pediasure market. After reading the title, I have to admit I'm really relieved that its aimed at toddlers and not infants. It doesn't seem too much worse than a two year old having a glass of chocolate milk. Its not something I'd choose 2 give my kiddo though unless there were some serious weight or nutrition issues and all else failed.

Yeah if it where aimed at todders, but something tells me that there will be plenty of people that will use it instead of baby formula since its made by enflamil.

They have some... interesting products... Like vitamins "essential for breastfed babies".

But then again, how is your kid going to be able to conform if he/she isn't used to the flavour of chocolate.

(yes, sarcasm at times in this post. I freely admit that.)

At the risk of being flamed I have to say.... formula STINKS. I can only imagine what it tastes like At the same time there are some children who NEED formula for whatever reason (and there are many many valid reasons). Then also take into consideration children who have feeding issue, etc. I can see a situation where I would buy this (and that's coming from a mom whose child never once had any formula).

It's another one of those things where nobody is forcing you to buy it so you can turn your head and look the other way

My experience with things that taste bad is that they taste worse when "chocolate flavoured". There is just, something about the chocolate flavour that just doesn't work for making gross things taste better.

My dd was formula fed, due to medical issues. Now, there was a time when we had to buy the toddler supplement for her due to health reasons, and yes it was choclate, but you had to entice them to drink it somehow.

The issue i have with this stuff, is that its not called a "supplement" or a vitamin drink, its called FORMULA. Which leads people to believe that its an appropriate replacement for reguala "non flavored" fomula.

Yeah, it's one thing to have supplements flavored every which way, but this is called formula, with that Enfamil brand name on it, and all the same propaganda/language about nutrients and blah blah blah. Crosses a line, or tries to blur it, or something, I don't have to like it!

Sure, if a kid has huge weight issues and can't stand the taste of formula (makes me think of how on Dollhouse the dad says, "Smells like fish!" ) then maybe this would help. But it's clearly being marketing way beyond that.

They have had toddler formual for a while. You see it more in the UK. This product is trying to replace the nutural nuturition that toddler would get while nursing.

http://babies-kids.pricegrabber.com/...m32494592.html

Meh, its for toddlers. I can understand why you would buy this. My ds1 was breastfed till shortly after ds2 wasn born, but if he hadn't been I can totally see him having been on formula still... I still like to give him raw milk with chocolate flavored protein powder, cause' the boy just doesn't eat! And that way, I at least know that he's getting *some* healthy fats & protein & other vitamins & nutrients (I use Juice Plus Complete btw)

Well, my kids like to tease me that I make flavored boobie milk.. I just have to chug down a bottle of chocolate syrup first.

I do see why you're upset, though OP.. way to really target little kiddos with evil stuff.

yes, I don't think it's so bad... what about things like Oveltine (sp?)? If DS doesn't step up the solids, and if I wasn't able to breastfeed, I think i may have tried something like follow on formula.
