i'm trying to make a vest out of microfleece

i've just determined that its too micro to be a vest on its own; i need to put something under it for a little more ooph

any suggestions as to what i should or shouldnt use as a lining fabric?

any suggestions for how to embellish this??? i dont want to embroider it; oh yeah and it has to be ready for saturday!!!

Could you use fusable interfacing? I don't know if it's okay with micro fleece?

line it with flannel?

decorate with pieces of fabric sewn on in various shapes?

I'd line it with a knit fabric since both are stretchy. Knits can be substantial or quite thin, to suit your needs, and will retain the comfort and washability you're looking for. Plus, lining it with a fabric will mean that it is appealing even if the vest falls open or you don't put in a wide facing, etc.
