I was just coming to post this question.

(I've just been cleaning mine with water and vinegar and sometimes a squirt of dish soap. DS's feet have been so dirty on the bottom, so I need a new plan!)

no matter what I do my kids feet are dirty on the bottom! And I have been told I have a spotless house...

I also bought the orange glow floor cleaning system b/c they have the microfiber pads that velco to the bottom and when they are dirty you just toss em in the wash. They come out very clean AND you can buy new pads for like $5.00 and rotate between 2 or 3. You just "swiffer" the floor and it cleans pretty well. Then I "mop" about once every 2 weeks or so with water and quick and brite.
