Could the flu vaccine cause premature labor/birth?

I really don't know? It's not something i've personally dealt with. I know it's not recommended that you get the flu shot while pregnant. Did you get the flu shot?

In Feb my sister did and on March 1st she gave bith at 22w and he died 2hrs later. She was working at the docs office and she noticed after the fact that pregnant women weren't supposed to have it and told the girl and she said oops. She was in the hospital for 4 days and he was born late on the 4th day...nothing to stop her labor or anything...just to lay down. They have ruled out placental abruption and incompetent cervix. She is now 15w pregnant again and seeing a doc. It is difficult for her to trust anyone in the med comm. Her CNM is the one who told her to get the flu shot.

I am not positive on this, but I thought the Flu vaccine was considered safe after the first trimester?

I'm sorry to read about your sisters loss.

I can't recall how far along I was, but I did have the flu shot with my last pregnancy. I questioned it, but my OB assured me it was fine, and I didn't have any complications from it.
