Okay, I have asked this before and I went to my dr. before, I guess I am just freaked out because we have had several people from my area go into PTL and I do not want to do that. I have noticed a lot (or what I think is a lot) of fluid leaking again. It is enough that I have to change a liner and panties a few times a day to be comfortable. It is definatly clear and sometime is a little mucus (clear) in it. I know one baby is close to my bladder and so maybe this is why, but I need to know if this sounds normal. I know that I have a dr for a reason and I can call her office on Mon, but I have a reg. apt in 8 days and I was in about 1 1/2 months ago for the AF test and don't want to do that again unless I think it is completly necessary. It is almost like a pap and not so comfortable. Last time I ended up having a little bit of a yeast infection, but that was it, nothing to be worried about. I am almost 22 weeks and I just had a sono this past weeks, so I think I am okay, but I know many of you have been though this so I thought I would ask again.

Does it smell like urine? I did a lot of "leaking" too, but it always smelled like pee so I never got worried about it and we were fine all through the pregnancy. If your last sono was fine I wouldn't freak too much but definately call your practitioner if you have any concerns. That's all I have to offer... good luck!

I freaked out often about fluid too. I had to wear pantyliners everyday but it was just for pee. If you are nervous, get checked. I think they can do some type of test to see what the fluid is. I was just so worried about IC all the time until I got past 24 weeks then I calmed down a little. Chances are it is probably nothing but sometimes the peace of mind alone is worth the trip to the doctor.

Thanks, I just want to keep these babies in as long as I can and now that I am past the M/C stage I thought I would feel better but the threat of PTL and Still Birth frightenes me even more. In my heart, I know I am worried about nothing, it is just hard to keep it off my mind. I just try to take comfort in the fact that they are active, that helps me believe that everything is okay.

When you are pg, you get very wet, especially with twins. You also can pee when getting kicked, etc.

However, there are these wonderful little strips (litmus strips, I believe) that you can touch to the fluid and they will change color. I don't remember which is whch, but it is easy and non invasive. So you can go in and ask for a litmus test and you can also get extra ones from a midwife or online if you are worried about it.

Also, if it is just small amounts of fluid, I would take it easy and not be too worried. However, if you are changing pads several times a day or making puddles. . . go in right away!!
