My ds just turned 14 mo and I think I'm ready to try cding again. I let everyone else talk me out of it in the first place but have now realized after a year that I change 99.9 % of his diapers anyways. Some wonderoos are on the way and I'm looking for some liners to use so that dh does not have a cow! I would like to use rice paper liners but they are not recommended for use with a septic system. (which we have at home) Ds only poops once every other day now so I don't think it's going to be much of a problem to be flushing so few of them but I was wondering if anyone out there has actually flushed some into a septic tank? I really don't want to risk our tank backing up or anything. Somehow I don't think dh would like to fix something like that. :LOL

My almost 6-month-old is going to be starting solids soon and I was curious about using liners and found this old thread.

KYMama, have you tried using liners? Anyone else?

I found one other very old thread about septic systems but it did not address the liner issue.

My husband doesnt want anything going down our septic system. He wont even put in a garbage disposal because he is so paranoid about it. LOL
So, I wouldnt risk it.
PLUS, if you use Wonderoos, I noticed poop doesnt stick to it too much, I just fling it off into the toilet no problem.

I've had friends that use flushable liner (in town) and it backed up there toilet big time. I am on septic and won't take a chance. I make my own fleece liners and the poop rolls off in into the toilet. The wonderoos are great for getting poop off.

I have a septic system and don't want to back it up either. I don't use flushable liners, but have a Mini Shower instead. Super easy to spray the mess off the diaper. And I agree, it does just kinda peel off of the suedecloth in the Wonderoos

Wow, so many replies now!

cmmrk1974 - no we never did try any flushable liners because when our Wonderoos arrived we never needed to use any.

After cding (part-time I must confess but cutting down on disposables) for almost a month and a half now we
our Wonderoos! Even dh will use them and that's saying a lot.
