I started the waistband on Saturday night and did all but the knitting it together. I knit all day yesterday until about 12:30 this morning and had only one cuff left to do (and would have done had DD2 not woken up to nurse...that put me laying down and instantly asleep

). I finished the second cuff today at my SIL's and started the hat. Got all the way to the decreases and headed home since DSS was due from school shortly there after. Finished it up after dinner. It makes me so ridiculously happy.

The nice thing is my sister found the wool at her local thrift store for .50 cents a skein. That woman can score. I have gotten the best deals for wool (and alpaca!) from there. Hopefully these don't bleed like the last yarn I got from there. I adore the way the yarn actually behaved for me.

I really fought the last pair.

what pattern did you use for the hat? I love it. I haven't knitted in about 3 years now, but Im feeling the urge to pick the needles back up and make my kids a hat or two

Hey, that link's not working for me. And I think I need that pattern! That set is gorgeous. I have yet to knit anything for this baby. I'm still trying to finish the baby blanket for my nephew, who is 8 weeks old now!
