A co-worker gave me some mint plants, which I planted indoors in containers to keep them from taking over the yard. I noticed when I went to water them the other day, that one of the plants, which seems to be dieing had this wierd foam on it. It looks a bit like soap bubbles, but slimier. What could be causing this? And what can I do about it?

One of my son's favorite things to do lately is remove the glob of spittle and find the culprit making all those bubbles! Try it, it's kinda neat <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"> (and they squish easily enough haha)

The best thing to do is remove and squish them by hand.
spittlebugs! I just looked them up after we saw plants like that while hiking on Saturday. There are videos of them on Youtube too <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">
