When I started bleeding 2 weeks ago they did an ultrasound and found the sac but it was too early to see the baby. Today is the follow-up and I'm nervous. I *feel* like everything is ok but I want to *know*

I just had an ultrasound earlier this morning myself. Good luck! I'll keep good thoughts for you in my head today.

Well, we saw the teeny! Heartbeat is 135. The bleeding was from a subchorionic bleed, just like a lot of people suggested. Follow-up at the end of June to keep an eye on the size.

Great news! I'm so happy for you.

I heard and saw the heartbeat today for the first time myself. Isn't it amazing? I'm still overcome by it.

If I weren't surrounded by half-packed boxes and the grossest variety of food stuffs in the history of the world right now I'd get up and do a happy dance for you! Trust me, my happy dances are quite a sight to behold.

You're packing too? I'm not looking forward to moving. I want to skip the next three months and just BE there, not have to worry about packing and moving and selling the house. Plus I want to keep my midwife!

Yes. I'm ready to move - it's been kind of like a pregnancy in it's own way. We looked around forever; couldn't decide on a borough, let alone a neighborhood until I took matters into my own hands and made DF an offer he couldn't refuse - he moves to Brooklyn, I change my last name when we get married ; we bought the house (unoccupied!) in January (!) but it was set-up as a duplex and was in desperate need of repair, so the renovations started as soon as the closing was over and continued until Tuesday (!).

Until now DF and I have technically lived apart (him on the Upper West Side, me in Cobble Hill) although we have barely spent a night apart since we started dating, so I'm looking forward to us both having the same 'home,' you know? It could be pregnancy hormones, but something about that has become super important to me lately.

Plus, I'm only moving six blocks. DF has been saying all along that he gets the hard part of this deal, but here I am - packing his apartment when I'm supposed to be finishing mine up. Men.

If I could help you flash-forward or give you a time machine or something I totally would. How far are you moving? It has to suck moving a great distance (or period, really) pregnant with two other kids to look after. You're a brave one, Mama.
