So, ladies....
We know we have all given up a few foods to have happy, healthy babies. What is the one thing you cannot wait to eat after baby is born?

For me it's soft-boiled eggs with bread. I've stayed away from the soft-cooked yolks and stuff during pregnancy. Soft-boiled eggs with bread is something my mom always made when I was sick or had my first day of school, or just needed a little nurturing. All it is is a soft-boiled egg with pieces of torn-up bread mixed in to soak up the yolk. So yummy and comforting (I hope I'm not making anyone sick talking about this!!). Anyway, she made it for me the day after I came home with dd and I'm looking forward to her making it again for me this time around. I've never been able to master it, myself. Always get bits of shell in it when I scoop the egg out.

So, let's have at it mommies!! What are you missing?!?!

I've never heard of soft boiled eggs? They are just underdone hard boiled eggs?

I'm looking forward to my "help me relax while nursing" guiness. I would get those big cans and "nurse" one throughout the day while I nurse when my nipples were sore. Though, I do like Guiness, I would take no sore nipples over that ritual in a heartbeat.

So how about a Mojito to celebrate no sore nipples?

I will take a sangria. I love it in hot weather and it is hot (for NW anyways) today.

I'd also love a mountain of chocolate. I have been cutting back on sugars because of the UTI situation so I haven't had much chocolate :

Mmmm, and I'm looking forward to chai tea. I have been drinking the RRL stuff which I love, but I'm looking forward to warm chai on cold days.

I don't think it is not allowed, most chais have some caffine, but I have replaced it with RRL tea that is why I am not drinking it right now...not because it is not allowed. I hope I didn't scare you!

I was like, "awww crap!" I've had a few chais from Starbucks. I haven't been keeping away from caffeine completely, but I don't consume a whole lot of it to begin with, so the thought of the caffeine in chai didn't even cross my mind. I thought it had something to do with the herbal properties of it.

There is nothing that I did when I wasnt pregnant that I specifically stopped due to pregnancy really. But my stomach cannot tolerate diet mountain dew (my previous favorite drink) and absolutely positively can NOT tolerate chocolate. My whole internal system is all screwed up these days. (I cant even wear synthetic underwear or pants washed in anything with dyes etc)

The last time I had a piece of chocolate cake (hoping the no chocolate thing was just a phase and I was over it) I spent over an hour running repeatedly to the bathroom at the Walmart while DH had to do all the shopping with 2 wired kids (we had just gone out to dinner at a "all you can eat" place)

How to chose! Sushi, a medium-rare steak, custardy french toast (I've been cooking mine to 160'), a glass of wine, raw cheese... November's grocery list is looking good

I have had the occasional coffee, some chocolate, more sugar than I should have and tiny sips of dh's beers. However, I stayed away from nuts and honey for the most part and I especially miss soft cheeses like Camembert, Blue Cheese and so forth. I also would like some nice cold cuts on a bun.

Cannot wait to taste those again.

A big slab of spinach pie from our local greek restaurant. for some reason, I've thrown up the three times I've had feta during this pregnancy and I miss it greatly. Mojitos are great too. The best one I've had was from the Cheesecake Factory. I don't know how their's are different, maybe top shelf liquor, but everywhere else's has paled in comparison.

Yeah, just replace "Thomas" with "Sofia" and I am right there with you.

I want blue cheese and brie with my wine.

And black licorice. Which I probably will stop craving the moment I give birth.

I never heard of not having most of these things before I came to MDC. Just curious why everyone chose to not have the things they are restricting? (other than those for nausia / stomach issues since I can definitely relate to that)
