I have really been into macro photography lately and am wanting to sell some of the prints in my store. I am thinking of turning them into greeting cards. I was wondering if anyone knew what the plastic envelopes that seal up to store the cards in are called? I have been looking at different art supply stores and cannot find them. I wonder if it's because I don't know what they are called? Also, do you know of a good art supply store online where I could get them at a good deal? Thank you.

I'm a professional photographer (portraiture) and have dealt with www.envelopemall.com and www.photographersedge.com. Both have the items you are looking for, I believe.

Do you have a website? I love looking at others' work.

Good luck selling your cards. Hope you do well with them.

Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!! I don't have a website. I really just started getting into it. We had an art show at the Art Around in my town and I put in 3 of my photos. I sold one and was really excited about it. I am excited about doing some more things with my photos and getting them out there.

Do you know how to copyright photos?

Any photo you take is automatically copyrighted to you. You don't have to register it or anything. You can even put the copyright symbol on your work in Photoshop, when you are typing text, by holding down the ALT key and keying in the numbers 0125. (It doesn't work with every font - just the more basic ones I believe.)

You might find the website www.prophotogs.com helpful. It is for professional photographers, and there is a free area (some of it is available only to paid subscribers.)

Oops - sorry about that.

This WILL work. It will I tell you! It is the same site I mentioned before:
www.lgpphotographers.com

Scroll down to the bottom for the free area. It costs $100 to join the premium area, although sometimes she runs specials.

www.twopeasinabucket.com (a scrapbooking site) also has an active photography message board, with many pro photographers and those who are portfolio building. Maybe I'll see you there - my screenname is the same (only spelled right - I couldn't change it here once I realized I had mistyped it!)

I think this is what your looking for http://www.jampaper.com/products/CelloSleeves.html or here http://www.blockheadstamps.com/clearenv.html .

If your looking for something more to do with your art and wouldn't mind making some money (not much though so far I've made all of $9) you might want to check out cafepress.
