I was just pondering a doppler/cellphone combo, you know, for the busy midwife.

What's your rube-goldberg-ian idea for a cell phone device?

... so you can send a flix message to people with FHT? I wonder if you'd get some kind of intereference having both electronic devices in one though?

I just want wireless access for my laptop wherever I'd go... but you don't get that way out in Amish country. Though a friend of mine now has internet access through her Verizon wireless signal which I think is sooo cool.

I'm down with always-on internet + satellite service on the Birthphone2000.

I'd just like it somehow to always stay on my body! My favorite birth clothes don't have pockets. When I'm at a birth and still on call for another client, I either have to wear it in a holster (which I hate, and often falls off, I'm waiting for it to take a swim!) or stick it in my bra (lump? What lump?).

The idea of having my phone implanted under my skin skeeves me out, yet appeals to me in some sick way.
