Does it (the stomach muscles) really hold everything in without effort? I mean, I've been trying to exercise my stomach muscles. Now I can easily flatten it and look good in clothes, but if I sit down or relax, everything just bulge up again. It's very hard to remember to tighten your stomach when you're relaxing in front of a computer with a cup of tea.

I know my muscles aren't strong enough yet. Just wondering if it really reach a point when your stomach will look flat no matter what, without any thoughts or effort? Can anybody's stomach stay flat after a big meal?

Well, no. I got the flat stomach back but there was always some degree of "holding it in", although "letting it out" was so tiny I think I was the only one who could tell the difference

it also depends if I've eaten a lot, i have much more of a 'pooch' after i eat a big meal then I used to but it could still go away- I'm giving it a full year before I consider it there for good :p

I got my flat stomach back after DS, but now after having a 2nd child I think I've given up! Mine pooches out when sitting or after eating, especially foods that I'm sensitive too. It's so annoying! Maybe I'm just getting old too
