Did you have hemmoroids the second time? When in your pg did you get them?

It seems like all my irl friends have them with subsequent births. I DON'T WANT THEM! Just wondering if there's hope.

Thanks

I'm interested in the answers you get! I had none with ds (and pushed for 2 1/2 hours). I sure hope I can avoid them this time!

Never had them, even with a 31 hour labor. Didn't have stretch marks either... I think everyone's body is just different! Don't know if there is anything specific to be done to avoid these things? Maybe not pushing before you're ready?

I've never had hemmoriods, and I've got 3 kids.

I never got constipated while pg either- I kinda had the opposite issues. I also never took those stupid iron pills (or multies with iron) that so many pg women think they're supposed to take that cause constipation for so many women. Constipation---> straining--->roids

I didn't have them at all with my first pregnancy until the birth. I pushed for 2.5 hours and voila - hemmrhoids! With this pregnancy I've had a few mild cases here and there. I'm pretty sure they'll make their grand appearance during pushing again, but it's ok, I'm prepared for them this time!

I would know right? I've had a few instances where I've gone to the bathroom and been a little uncomfortable there for a few minutes but usually that is after I've eaten something hot.. dh says I don't have any. (yeah I've asked )

i think alot of it has to do with how you push......i was always told when pushing to use your stomach muscles to push and to focus your energy that way....

im sorry i just don't get why they tell you to "push in your bottom" your not pooping the baby out and straining your butt hole muscles isn't gonna help you get the baby out and faster....i could be wrong i had a schduled c-section with DD (she was breech) but when we were "taught" to push in childbirth class we were never taught to push like we had to poop!

I am 36 weeks with #5 and I have never had them.
Also never been constipated but have had to take iron in all my pregnancies including right now with this one. I usually become iron deficient around 28 weeks, I don't even bother testing - I start craving ice and I know my iron is low. This time I tried to increase it naturally and took homeopathic remedies but it doesn't help enough.

i have never had them with either pregnancy of my first two and i did have mild constipation with both, alot of it has to do with Vien Integrity, meaning how strong your veins are, of course straining does add to the issue but if you have strong vein condition you wont get them, many mothers who have issues with roids also have spider veins, etc. their are nourshing herbal tonics yo can take if you think you might have vein issues to strengthen the integrity of the vein, the most obvious i can think of is good ole nettle, Red raspberry leaf, & burdock root...plus many many more you can look up! Drinking lots of water is the easiest remedy!

I didn't have them in my first pregnancy, and didn't even have them after 3 hours of pushing.
Still don't have them with this pregnancy.....and don't expect them after the baby is born.

Didn't have them at all in my first pregnancy. Did have them in my second pregnancy. However, 3 weeks after the birth, I got an internal one. Yikes! Now I really sympathize with roid sufferers! When it was really bad I would have much rather traded pushing another baby out if it meant I didn't have to have a bowel movement Not sure why I got one so late after the fact, especially since I'm an avid water drinker/ fiber consumer and haven't ever had vein issues. Fortunately it cleared in a few weeks!

Not with my first, but yes, with my 2nd. And they never went away. : It was simply becaus I had hyperemesis and was put on Zofran. I was so constipated that I didn't go to the bathroom for 10 DAYS! DH had to give me an enema! : Pregnancy itself didn't cause it. But the medication to help with the HG did. And of course, the Zofran did nothing to help the HG. : just gave me roids!
