Since being pregnant has your nurslings demands for nursing increased? Stayed the same? Decreased?

I keep reading about nurslings nursing ALOT right now. I know that is the case in our house.

For awhile he increased, but a large part of that was due to the fact that my supply has dropped pretty dramatically. Because of that, we're in the process of weaning.

all o' the time! but i honestly think that some of it is that i am sitting down more than normal because i'm so stinkin' sick and tired, so she's nursing out of boredom...

He seems to be asking for it less lately. But there are other factors at play, too...like I started staying at home full time at end of July and for a while there, he was nursing like a newborn just cause he could! Now the novelty of me being with him 24-7 is wearing off, he is going back to morning and night nursing (except today - today he nursed 35 minutes in one session this afternoon! That's unheard of these days!)

WAY more. It was really intense at first, and now she has calmed down, but still more than before.

He's not so much nursing more often, but for WAAAAY longer whenever he does nurse. Even from the time he was 6 weeks old, 10 minutes was a long time for him. These 15-20 minute sessions are driving me insane!

Same here. DD has also taken to trying to convince me how great nursing is.

she say, "oooooh, wow! mama nurse... yum yum yum. wow!"

Seems to be about the same, or maybe even a tiny bit less. I am placing some limits and not saying yes every time. It's just too painful.

She is nursing sooo much less and I'm really sad about it. I was hoping to nurse for longer and it looks like she's going to wean

We've had nursing sessions that hit one hour. I know there's nothing in there and the pain is huge, but it let's me sit on my butt. So nurse all day it is. It is interfering now with her solids (she's 13-months and picky).

It feels like he wants to nurse a ton, but I'm trying to decrease it a bit.

I put that my nursling has decreased but that's because *I'm* strongly encouraging him to cut back from 15-20+ times /day nursing to 10-15x at max if possible. (he's 20 months and 30 lbs - and eats more 'real' food than my dh and me combined daily!) so he truly is ok - i think he just likes to eat. . .. and nurse. .. (he calls it 'sleep milk', lol)

I've started wearing long dresses - one piece so that during the day it's not as easy for my shirt to accidentally slide up and he sees skin - which then means he want/s needs to nurse. I nurse him at nap times and breakfast wake up and bedtime and of course all night long - although I'm trying to get him to drink a water sippie instead, but that's not working too well. . . so i nurse him. i'm not mean, i'm just trying to set limits. i need more sleep.

We started nightweaning as soon as I found out I was pg. DD has taken to that well which is surprising because she was still nursing every 2-3 hours at night, or more. She nurses lots during the day, but no more than before. I have no intention of cutting back daytime nursing. I hope I can nurse straight through pregnancy and then tandem after baby comes.

I think about the same. Well, it increased a bit, but it always does around my period, and it wasn't until I was 8 days late that I realized I was late and tested, so I didn't really pay attention

Thankfully, I don't have the pain this time that I did last time around (I nursed through my last pregnancy too).
