I posted a trick/tip to someone having insertion issues w/in the last couple of days, and it seems as though none of us are "the only ones" having the issue. So, this is what works for me, and what I've shared, and I hope it helps...................
Some of you may want your stems off or on. The stems do not help w/ removal, they are merely a guide for "lost and found", or a false sense of what would be a string on a plug. I have my stem intact still, and it's actually a guide for me to know if my cup is in it's right place. With how I'm built inside, the stem can't be felt IF I've got my cup in it's comfy place. So, I choose to keep it on my Diva.
I use the "punch down" method of insertion, collapsing a side of the rim to the center of the cup, and keeping it folded as much as possible through insertion. Once I have it inserted as far as I can while keeping it folded, I release the grip/hold I have and just gentle guide it in as far as it will go. Sometimes, it feels like my cervix is in the path, so I tilt it more back towards the tailbone (rather than a slight upward angle).
Next, I feel around the end (past the stem) to make sure Diva has popped open. If you have it in the right place, it will usually almost "ease" past your wall of your vag, and hug right there, "locked down". I give her a quarter turn, and sometimes still feel the stem right at the opening. This does NOT mean I don't have proper positioning. I give a little "tug" to the stem (another reason I don't cut it off, because it makes for a very gentle tug) to make sure I've got my seal at least.
Then, I stand up, and do THE DANCE. This is my own thing that helps my cup settle into it's comfy spot, which means she takes a little ride further up to settle. I do circles both way w/ my hips (exaggerated hoolahoop motion), while bending my knees as if my hoolahoop is falling lower.
Voila..........................we're inseparable at this point, until the next dumping session! It's quite fascinating to see all your fluids separated. Just when you think it's all blood...................you see how creative our Maker was when he blessed us w/ the cycle that men would NEVER live through a week of!
