I'm just trying to figure out how to accomplish washing every third morning w/o killing my washing machine. DS is now in cd's full time and he's wearing those huge toddler cpf's . DD is only 2 months old so hers are infant cpfs, fitteds, etc.

So how often are you washing? Maybe I should keep their dipes in seperate loads?

HELP :

TIA

I have a 28 month old and a 9 month old both in blue edged cpf. I toss a large size load in the washer every other night before bed and let it soak overnight, then wash it cold and again in hot with an extra rinse when I get up in the morning. I don't have enough dipes to go any longer between washes and I don't have a super large capacity washer either, so this is what seems to work best for us. I don't know if this is helpful for you at all. Hope so.

Well my answer probably isn't the one you want to hear lol ....I have two in diapers full-time and one in diapers part-time, and I do a load of diaper laundry every night. By the end of the day...there are more than enough dipes for at least one load of laundry, and I'd just rather get it done than let it sit around and accumulate more and then be overwhelmed with dirty diapers...kwim? To me it's just become part of the nighttime routine....throw in the diapers...load up the dishwasher, clean up the kitchen, put diapers on second rinse, pick up stray toys around the house, vacuum last time for the night, throw the diapers in the dryer...enjoy some "me" quiet time lol...grab the diapers, go upstairs, fold and put away and then hit the sack

I have a 2 year old who wears only AIOs and pocket diapers and I have a newborn who wears just about everything. I wash every 2 days and I split it into 2 loads. One load for all the AIOs, shells and covers and another load for all the fitteds, soakers, inserts, wipes. I could probably fit it all into one load (we have a king size capacity washer) but they seem to get cleaner this way. My pail holds exactly 2 days worth of diapers so that is when I wash.

I washed diapers every day as well. I didn't want to get overwhelmed and never knew when I was going to have to drop everything and sit and rock (DS had bad reflux and DD was only 22 mths) so for one year, every day.

we do every other morning, unless the boys had a "productive" day (LOL!) then its every day. I dont like to let them pile up too much, mostly for the smell factor. No matter how much I rinse poopies after changes, and no matter how many deo disks I use, the pail smells after a day.
