I've been using progesterone cream suppositories the past few days, and of course have had all the usual fun side effects. But, at what point do you allow yourself to think that perhaps everything you're experiencing might not be completely attributable to the progesterone, and might actually be pregnancy. Is it possible for that stuff to produce in one an irrational craving for beef jerky : ?

LOL - that's funny. Beef jerky of all things. Ugh. Do you like it normally. I know my dog likes beef jerky but to me it looks so repulsive.
What side effects do you feel so far?????

Well, normally i 'like' beef jerky, but not 'crave it so intensly that i must purchase it at a gas station' :LOL . I have been having tremendous tiredness, food aversion (tho not really nausea per se), and a lot of breast/nipple soreness.

Unfortunately, I think that progesterone *can* cause all those symptoms....just like pregnancy can...darn! What percentage is the cream? The higher the percentage, the more the symptoms can be attributed to the cream.

Though...Hmm.....beef jerky that had to be purchased...hehehe..that sounds baby driven LOL

Ok: Can it also make your milk taste nasty and salty, if you have a nursling. We are, unfortunatley, having to do a rather quick weaning (we were getting there already but i just had to speed it up, too painful and awful to continue). I tried expressing some milk so i don't get engorged, and got some on my hand, and it was really yuck. Thoughts?

I didn't have any PG-like symptoms. I was on 200 mg for 2 months, then 400 mg (and I got PG that month). The month I actually was PG I had HORRIBLE cramps and the usual PMS symptoms. I remember telling DH that, though the progesterone had made my spotting stop (the reason I was on it to begin with), it wasn't our month . . . little did I know!

I used progesterone for a few cycles, it did make me think I was constantly pregnant. Then, when I was sure I wasn't... I WAS.

The saltiness in milk, is what happens during weaning. The colostrum is the first milk to come in and the last to leave. So as you're weaning the sweet white milk takes a hike.
