Hi ladies! I'm wondering if this is something I should be worried about, or if it is a normal part of aging (I'm in my late 30s). I recently noticed that a freckle on my arm is now lighter in color. I looked on line for indications of skin cancer, and found a lot of mention of moles, crusting and bleeding, irregular borders, etc., but nothing about my situation. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this on themselves, and if I should pay a visit to a dermatologist. Thanks in advance!

Gosh, I have a lot of them all over my arms. I hated them to begin with but now since I am 60 yo. I've realized that that's just a part of aging for people with freckled skin.

Not only do my freckles turn pale, they get bigger and I get that same skin in spots where there were no freckles ever (that I knew of).

Oh, and one more thing, I have some freckles that turned very dark, like a beauty spot on my hand and a few on my face. Getting old sucks but what's the alternative?
