Well, Ballenger Creek Park is easier for me since it's right next to my house.

Since there is interest at this point....how is next Thurs. for anyone?
Is earlier in the day good ? 10 or 11 would be perfect for us.

Next Thursday the 24th sounds good to me. I don't know if we can make it there by 10, but we can try.

There are two playground areas at Ballenger Creek when you go into park and upper one and a lower one. I typically end up at the upper one, but either one is fine with me. The lower one has a playset designed for ages 2-5 and one for 5-12 I think and the upper one has two playsets both designed for 5-12 I think. Frederickmama would know better though.

We usually tend to go to the lower parks .... once you turn into the park you will see a playground on the left ...the other one is down the hill onto the right.

Unless everyone else is opposed ...i would prefer to meet at the lower area.

We'll be there at 10am on Thurs. Aug.24th.

I will be there with at least 2 of my kids - my 17 yr old daughter & my almost 3 year old daughter, my son may or may not join us....and the 2 i babysit on thursday - a 5 month old and a 2.5 yr old.

Hope to see you there.

We should be there for awhile....depending on the kids & the weather, it may be a couple of hours.

We are moving to the area in the next few months and happen to be staying nearby in Montgomery County (while we wait for our flooded house to be repaired) - could we come too? Can you tell me how to get to Ballenger Creek park from 270?

Thx!

Ballenger Creek is very easy to get to when coming off of 270.
You would take exit 31B - Rt. 85 towards Buckeystown. At your first intersection , which is Crestwood Blvd., you turn right. Follow Crestwood for a little over 2 miles. When you come to Ballenger Creek pike you will turn left and about a half a mile later see the park on your right.

hope to see you there.

For those of you who wish to mapquest it .... the address of the park is 5420 Ballenger Creek Pike , Frederick,MD 21703
