the <unamed company> sales people suckered me in....

I've been gone half the day and have a ton of things to do BUT I was nice and let them in. Why you ask....well the young girl was so very nice and assured me that they would not try to sell me anything but her and her partner would get $25 each if I would let them clean the carpet in one room of my house. She then proceeded to tell me how badly she needed the $ and would I PLEASE let her clean my carpet. I said OK - but I'm not buying your vaccum...she said oh don't worry it's OK.

Then her partner shows and she leaves and he will not quit trying to sell me the vaccum. I told him nicely then firmly and then meanly and he still wouldn't quit. He was making me get up and test it out and look at all the dirt filters he laid all over the bed we sleep on

: (even though I aksed him not to). He distracted me so much that I couldn't possibly work while he cleaned my carpet and made his commission so I called my husband and told the guy he wanted to talk to them and my husband said leave NOW :LOL and he mumbled and reluctantly left...after calling to tell his supervisor that we kicked him out.

SO advice for the day...don't get suckered into a sales pitch whether on the phone or at your front door.

Another free tip,
if you fail to keep the people from coming in, and you decide you really NEED one of these $1600 vaccuums, buy one of ebay where you can find one for around $200. But yeah, I won't ever be letting one of them in my house again. We're talking 2 hours of wasted time, and those little filters laying everywhere for the baby to get into really grossed me out. We decided to just pull the carpet up.

DH did that. GRRR. It was for a "free vacation". Well you had to pay $25 to reserve it. Limited times oo. A big PITA. We never even used the vacation. We too pulled up our carpets. We were lucky to have hard wood under it.

I was surprised that when he called to report his wear abouts he confirmed what vacation he wanted and how much his commission was....in front of me. That seemed a bit unprofessional - but when it comes right down to it the whole thing was unprofessional. There's nothing like someone invading your space and annoying you to no end.
