For those of you that receive some sort of assistance (TAFDC, Fuel Assistance, Food Stamps, SSI, etc) you may qualify for a free cell phone and minutes every month! You may also qualify based just on income. You must not be using another Life Line (phone) service (or you need to cancel it first).

2 different programs, that cover different states. Details vary by state.

Hope this helps a bunch!

Oh bummer!

I thought that between the 2 of them they would have most of us covered!

Attila,

Can you tell me how it works, how many minutes you get each month ect?

Thanks

I signed up and within a few days I got the free cell phone in the mail. At the beginning of every month I get another 40-50 minutes. I can't recall because I never use them up so my minutes are into the 100s now. You can also buy minutes if you run out, with tracphone. Also, it says I have 380+ service days left, but I am not sure what that means because that also adds up every month.

There's nothing more to tell, it's really simple!

As I understand it the details vary somewhat by state. In Massachusetts its 80 minutes a month and they roll over. You can buy more minutes also.
