So I am a member of a yahoo group called freecycle seattle. It is a place where people post stuff they want to get rid of and you can also post if you want something.

So I thought what the hey and said I wanted cloth diapers and covers. Well I have gotten some from 3 people so far. Yesterday I met a woman at costco and she gave me a whole garbage bag full of contoured diapers it looks like they are meant to go in a diaperwrap cover and some dappi covers. Another woman gave me a bunch of biobottoms covers and DSQ prefolds and I got some PF from someone else.

The website is http://www.freecycle.org/ you can find a local group if there is one in your area. What a way to save moolah.

But I have dibs on the Seattle group! :LOL

I know it is so awesome OT: We got rid of a water heater and a washer. That is stuff that got saved from going to the dump and adding to the landfills.

I am just really excited that I got so many free diapers!

Freecycle rules! As a member of the original group down here in the desert, I must say that it is indeed a great concept revived. We have given away boatloads of stuff to individuals and nonprofits. It is a great way to pass on things that you cannot donate to thrift stores.

soccerchic21, I'm definitely going to check out the free diaper idea...wish I had thought of that before now!

I am the queen of buying a WAHMs seconds before a new diaper. And I thought hmmm I wonder when I joined freecycle. Diapers for free it is so awesome. Of course I don't think I am ever going to get a pinhead or a wool soaker but fluff is fluff right?

Well, there wasn't one for my city, but one for my dad's summer job and one for a neighboring city, so I signed up in two places! We'll see what I get.

Spicesnail- maybe those other 3 members are all sitting at home on piles of diapers just wondering what in the world to do with them...

Send a message, maybe it will get them started.

Im going to just have to think of something to give away first, it says the first post cant be a 'wanted' one. That would be great if someone had some.

I'm a member of the Spokane Freecycle, it's great. Haven't gotten anything from it yet, but it's a great group. Might have to do an ISO cloth diapers myself on there!

We're members of our local freecycle - it's a great group, preventing lots of stuff from ending up in a landfill

Oh thanks! There is one right in my area and a few others fairly close by. I noticed a post at one of the groups: wanted cloth daipers and covers.

I think I might post this: wanted: cash!
