Hello, I work for a social service agency and we have a mom with NO money! I mean she can't afford anyting and she desperately needs diapers for her 4 month old. We're trying to round up money for her, but during supervision today I remembered seeing a website awhile back that provides free cloth diapers to low income families. Does anyone know what site I am talking about and possibly have a link to it? Thanks so much if you do! I'm sure the mom will greatly appreciate it.

When I had my first i was 18 and on welfare. I made my own cloth. I made flats out of old flannel sheets, I used a t-shirt as a diaper. But finally, I discovered that tea and hand towels make great diapers. I bought some velour cotton handtowels at the dollarstore and used them as diapers, they work just as well as a PF does. You could buy a whole stash for $25.<br>
I use dappi covers I bought at granitesmith. They are nylon with the softest leg bindings. They never leak. It only cost me $20 for 8 covers.<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"><br>
I know you said she has no money at all, but maybe someone has some hand towels they are not using.
