My first DD had latch on problems, so I bought this when prego with DD#2 in fear of having the same problems again... but she latched on like a pro.
The use of the nipple sheild is recommended only under certain circumstances (flat/inverted nipples..etc.) and you should talk to a LLL for advice/support before putting it to use.
