I live in MD and I am trying to start a community garden (greenspace). I would like to know if anyone knows where to get free topsoil in MD? and is fill dirt all right to use for a garden?

My idea is to put a mural of an open door and along the side have a pic of Narnia (Witch, Lion and Wardrobe) with trees lining up toward the mural of the door with a gravel path between the trees and carpet flowers on either side of the trees.

Thanks

I don't know of any sources of free topsoil there, but I did want to say that your idea sounds lovely! I hope it goes well!
