I made a wonderful lifelong friend in nursing school, and she just got a job as an L&D nurse!! She is a new grad and the chance to become a nurse in this area as a new grad is very slim. She has a passion for helping moms and babies, and has had two natural childbirths and wants to help women who chose this. 
Anyway, I am looking for a meaningful but not too expensive gift for her when she starts next month. I am thinking a necklace pendant would be nice. She is not "new age" so the tree of life and such won't work well for her. I'm thinking more like a mom holding a baby, or a pg women or something. Something that she can wear to work and is appropriate for that setting. Any ideas and links? Thanks!
