I just got a call from a friend's DH to announce that their second DS was born, naturally! She was induced with her first and sectioned after 12 hours. I was so glad when she wanted to try VBAC this time! She went through MANY doctors and hospitals in our area to find someone who would attend her (even considered home birth, which I highly recommended, but couldn't get it covered with insurance). She ended up with a MW in a hospital almost 2 hours away! But she got good care and at 41.5 weeks went into labor.

She had called yesterday asking for places to get natural induction ideas/herbs, and the last thing I recommended was EPO, which they got. We were just praying she'd go into labor before next Monday, at 42wks.

All I know is from the DH, but after a long and hard labor, she apparently stalled at 6-7 and they were prepping for a c/s. He says they then gave her an epi in preparation for surgery, which apparently helped her relax enough to continue and give birth! I'll be eager to hear the whole story from her, but she's now got her baby and was nursing when he called.

Just had to share with others who would appreciate the effort she put into this VBAC! I'm so happy for her!
