My daughter was around 10/11 months when she gave up her second nap. She just refused to nap more then once a day, just wouldn't fall asleep. Definitely a little earlier then most.

ds was about 10 months old when he dropped second nap. but he'd often go down for the night at around 7p.m. morning nap at around 11 a.m. now that he's 1 1/2, he's going to bed closer to 8:30 p.m.

i imagine he's probably stimulated by his sister after she comes home from school because nap on weekends is very irregular for him. seems like he's afraid of missing out on the fun.

My son is 17 mos. and still takes 2 naps a day. But his bedtime is around 11pm and he gets up around 8am. I'm hoping he'll sleep later in the morning when he drops his afternoon nap!

Ds dropped the 2nd nap about a month ago (at 15 months)
It was a hard transition for about 2 months. But now we have a much better day and night concerning sleep.
He wakes at 7:30, naps 1-2:30 or 3 and goes to bed at 9.

DS is 23 months and occasionally still takes 2 naps. He really transitioned to one nap around 20 months. When he was 13-14 months, he started on a no sleep kick (I thought he was ready to drop a nap) but it only lasted for a couple of weeks. His bedtime is 8p and he gets up around 630-7a.

My son transitioned at 9-10 months. He started sleeping for 3-4 hours when I would put him down for his morning nap. For a while, he would occasionally have a nursing nap in the late afternoon (4-5 p.m. or so) but it would really only be when he was nursing (like 30 minutes).

My DD was 9 months. She let me know she was ready by refusing to go to sleep later in the day.

DS dropped the second nap at 12-13 mos. It was a tough so a first but I knew it was time since that afternoon nap was such a horrible struggle and required me to backcarry in MT and jiggle or bounce on ball with DS in arms for longer than he would sleep. for awhile I morned the loss of the second nap since I REALLY needed a break by late afternoon but now I really prefer it. We get out more and can participate in all those fun activities with toddler that seem to start a 10 am.

DS sometimes still takes 2 naps when he's sick or teething.
