Hey there.

I'm new to this forum. I am a first-time-only-time mother to infant daughter born autumn 2006. I'm in my mid-forties, so I'm probably older than most women on this forum. Highly amused at this "new" movement of natural parenting; as a child of the sixties, I remember it was "new" back then, too.

I'm a farmer of fiber sheep with a couple of nice llamas thrown into the mix for comic relief and sheep guarding.

I have to admit I have a love/hate relationship with Mothering magazine. 'Fraid I take some of it with a sizeable grain of salt. I hate to see anyone suffer guilt trips over parenting styles; we're all just doing the best we can, when it comes right down to it. Obviously I don't want to see any child suffer at the hands of ignorance, but that's not what I'm referring to. I think you get my drift.

Time to go out to the barn and feed the livestock. See you 'round the forum...

Sincerely,
Diane H K
