Does anyone know of a front and back carrier that doesn't spread the legs so far apart? I have a 3 month old 16lbs and 26 inches. Do the wrap carriers spread the legs far apart? Are the wrap ones easy to learn to use. I am looking for something easy two use and hands free to help my 4 yr old.

In the begining you can keep the legs in tucked up to his chest till he is comfy with them spread. I would get MT they are so much quicker that a wrap and ewasy to fold and adjust to separate, children, but then again a wrap is oh so comfy, and can fit any size...

Thank you. I didn't know that you can keep their legs tucked in a MT.It amazes me all the choices in carriers. I have a native carrier but it seems hard for me to get him in correctly and he always seems squished in it.

With every carrier there is a learning curve. The wrap learning curve is the greatest but very worth it.
When we graduated from the stretchy wrap we used a mei tai for a long time. It took some getting used to- but again, was sooo worth it.
Don't worry about how squished your lo looks- that's how he was in the womb. As long as his chin isn't touching his chest he's doing just fine.
