My ds had a strange diaper today. It was the correct color (the yellow that has been normal for him since the beginning), but instead of being seedy it was frothy. What does this mean?

I searched the web for some answers, but all I got was info for if the poop was green and frothy, not just frothy.

Hmm poop is not always consistant but if it continues for over 24 hours take a samplein to your ped if it concerns you...somewhere I read green and frothy is a dairy allergy...

Yeah, I read about green and frothy. But the color hasn't changed. Still a dairy allergy, you think?

I would give it a couple of days before assuming it is an allergy. The fact that it is still yellow is a good sign.

My daughter had a couple of "frothy" poops at the beginning, too! I explained to my midwife and she said, "All is normal. Not to worry." She is healthy as can be. No allergies yet and she's 10 m.o. eating solids like crazy!
