I just cut up a bunch of old t-shirts for wipes! Now I have like 300 wipes! Do you think they will fray so bad they can't be used again? I hope not, they look so pretty sitting in a BIG stack!

I don't think they will fray but they may not be thick enough to do much good. If you have a sewing machine and a stretch needle for it you could zig zag tightly around the edges to do a faux serge. Or you could turn and top stitch them.

I found a single layer to thin, mind you that could have been something to do with the t shirts I cut up being nearly worn out

In the end I cut matching wipes from some old terry flats and sewed together 1 of each type. They held up for 18 months or so but the sewing did take me longer than I expected.

Someone gave me a dozen baby washclothes. I cut them in half (about 3x6 in) and zigzagged the edges. They're soft on one side and terry on the other, so with one I can scrub with one side then finish with the other.

For DD's first wipes... I cut up my yummy terry velour bathrobe and made almost 25 wipes and 25 washclothes, and used the 2 pockets as hand fitted washclothes (work like a charm)

My sons love the Terry Velour and Flannel backed wash clothes... they tell me that they are soo soft...

I used regualar cotton terry and cute flannel prints for other washclothes and wipes... they work great..

the terry adds the perfect lil scrubber when and where it's needed w/o being harsh!

Congrats on your accomplishment!

I ran out of wipes early on, so used some "painters rags" which I got from the hardware store for some painting project long ago. They are just t-shirt material, and they work great
No fraying at all on mine.
