Could I grow a lemon tree or something else in a large planter on a porch/balcony? Are there any other type of fruit plants that do well in containers? Thanks!

I love the plants that Logee's carries and they are all meant to do well in containers. Many are tropical so may need to be kept inside

My dad has had a fig tree in a pot for years, he moves it out in the summer and in in the winter, he gets lots of figs!

I have a Meyer Lemon and a mexican lime in half barrels. We protect them from frost by stringing them with christmas lights. I got almost fifty lemons last year! My lime is just a baby but has three fruits this winter.

I think you could probably also grow Giant Cape Gooseberry in containers.

A lot of people do the fig tree thing. They flower/fruit on new growth, so they can be kept smaller without much trouble.
