Beautiful purple pilots cap and mitten set made from the Little Turtle Knits pattern by a knitting WAHM last season.
This hat ties on under the chin and fits tight against the head making it difficult for little hands to remove. It is soft wool so it feels as good as it looks!

This fit my daughter starting at eight months and fit well past one year.

I can attempt to get a measurment although i don't knit so I'm not sure the best way to do so.

You wouldn't happen to have any action shots of your dd wearing them, would you? Do you think the cap would be pulled off easily by the child wearing it? My dd refuses to wear hats, so I need something with ties/velcro, so she can't take it off herself.

It ties on. My dd also hates hats but she was never able to remove it herself.

IIRC those are the LTK patterns and both my kids have that pilot cap and you can't get it off but it also fits really low profile so it doesn't seem to bug them like other hats.

ETA: That is a really good deal, a handknit set like that retails for twice that much in the WAHM world. I wish I had a kid it would fit.
