I bought a used FB from another mama. It was a good price and advertised in excellent used condition, but she didn't mention that it had cream fleece inside instead of the newer white fleece.

I really don't like the cream fleece - all of my other FBs are white inside and I'll always know that this is the one I bought used. Maybe if they were all cream it wouldn't bother me.

I emailed the seller to see if she would just take it back for the price I paid but haven't heard back from her. I have tried listing it on the Trading Post for the price I paid, with no luck.

Am I being too picky? Is it unreasonable for me to ask the seller to take it back?

I wouldn't bother the seller with it, personally. It's possible that she isn't even aware of the new ones having white fleece. As long as you received it in good condition, as advertised then imo the seller kept up her end of the deal. I, personally, wouldn't have even known that there was now white fleece inside the FB. The last ones I had that were bought new by me had the cream fleece. There for a while it seemed like the style of FB changed every time the wind blew, and it was really hard to know what the latest style was.

Personally I wouldn't ask the other mama to take it back if there is no defect or flaw. Maybe she didn't even realize they make them now with white fleece or didn't feel that it would be a problem. If you really don't like it sell it on ebay or something. That is just my opinion though, take it for what it's worth.

This actually happened to me too, except it was an ebay purchase.

I was pretty perturbed at first that the seller didn't mention that they had the cream lining, but they really were in perfect condition otherwise. I finally relaxed and realized that the seller might not have even known that FB uses the white liner now.

So, I would just keep it or resell it to someone else if it really bugs you. I wouldn't bother the seller.

I would keep it if the diaper was in the condition she stated. And probably next time ask what color the fleece is if you hav a strong preference.

As a buyer it was your responsiblility to ask about the details first. We live and learn. I was in a similar situation once and since then have just learned to ask all types of questions.

I would keep it too. I wouldn't even have known that the new ones are white. I bought a package deal new and some had white and some had cream FB's all in the same package. I had no idea until now that some were older.

Did you ask her the colour of the lining ? If she hasn't seen the white, would she even realize that what she has was 'cream' (as it's darn LIGHT cream coloured) ?

Nope - I'd either keep to use, or resell it, and not even mention it to the seller - she did nothing wrong.

All right, all right, I get the picture!
But thanks for the replies.

I'm still fairly new to CDing, and very new to buying used diapers. I just wish I had known that FBs came in cream fleece before the current white fleece, so I would have known to ask the question. I found out after I showed my real-life friend the FB I bought used - I thought the inner was just dingy and she told me they used to be made like that. I wish the seller had responded even if she didn't want to take it back. I'm really not that difficult of a person to deal with, I promise!

Lesson learned. Since I haven't been able to sell it, I guess I'll just bite the bullet and use it.
